Founders of the Congress of Democratic Forces
of Uzbekistan held their first session in Washington, DC (USA) last Saturday.
Representatives of various political parties and movements, entrepreneurs and
political activists, as well as ordinary Uzbekistan citizens that disagree with
the present government’s policies, participated in the event, the congress said
in its press release.
The meeting participants considered the critical situation in Uzbekistan and
adopted a “Declaration to develop the strategy and coordinate actions of the
democratic forces”.
They also agreed to hold the conference of the Congress of Democratic Forces of
Uzbekistan with participation of all opposition parties and movements, which
should become the further step to unite all forces in order to establish
democracy in Uzbekistan.
